Franklin Folk Music Night
I photographed the Franklin Folk Club music night on Saturday. It was a lot of fun. Apart from photographs of the actual musicians, I made sure I captured the spirit of the occasion in this gallery.
Franklin’s own Dan Rawlins was a support last Saturday evening for Franklin Folk Club – Tobias Hengeveld . Held within the The Franklin Palais Theatre’s Main Hall, known as The Social Heart of the Huon Valley. The Main Hall is well heated, accessible and comfortable.
We had several acts, including a songstress with a ucayali from Belgium! The quality of the acts was amazing, and one benefited from David Steele on a steel lap guitar.
Dan Rawlins performed. He is a singer song writer nestled in The hills of Franklin. He lives on the edge of a forest in a gypsy wagon with his dog and creates Aussie folk tales with quirk and warmth. Dan is currently recording his debut album.
The folk club happens monthly. You can find out more at https://www.facebook.com/PalaisFranklin or https://www.franklinpalais.com.au.
