The Australian Wooden Boat Festival is happening in Hobart starting tomorrow. I had been trying to make it to photograph the Living Boat Trust vessels, but the weather had not cooperated with the schedule! Then last night, I was alerted that Soren Larsen would be at Woodbridge in Tasmania. What I didn’t realise is three others would be there too! I was a good morning 🙂

So I took my DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone and Pentax K-1 full frame camera and headed off first thing. It was so worth it!

I flew the Mavic 3 near the ships in dock, then nearly a kilometer out to sea to capture photographs and footage of two tall ships coming in. I then did the same as the ships that had been at dock departed. The photographs are stunning. I will take time to make the footage really stand out, and release it later.
